We finally have a release date for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners for Oculus Quest, and it’s October 13th, 2020. We also have confirmation that the game will be a launch game for the upcoming Oculus Quest 2, the follow up to the successful Oculus Quest.
If, like me, you bought the game on the Oculus Store to pla the PC version via Oculus Link – only to find your PC is too crap to run it well – the good news is that the game is cross-buy. This means that no matter which version you initially buy, you can play it either on PC or on Oculus Quest/Oculus Quest 2.
Our Jeremy reviewed the PC version of the game earlier this year using the PC version and Oculus Quest and Link. He was very positive about the game, even going to so far to declare that it’s still in the running to be his personal Game of the Year. Big praise, then.
There’s a trailer up above, but it’s not really representative of the game on Oculus Quest; it even says that the footage was captured on PC.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners has had a graphical downgrade to run on Oculus Quest, but from what I’ve seen so far, it looks quite good for a VR game running on a mobile chipset.
