If you go onto the European PlayStation Stores today you’ll find a new game has released with no fanfare whatsoever, and that game is Skydance’s fantastic The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.
The game has made a surprise appearance on the European PlayStation stores today with no hype build-up prior to its surprise launch. Whether this was a mistake or not remains to be seen.
At the time of writing, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners isn’t available on the North American PlayStation Store, just the UK and Europe stores. The price? A very fair £28.99 for the standard edition, or £44.99 for the deluxe edition that comes with some in-game bonus goodies.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners released earlier this year on PCVR headsets to critical acclaim, including a very positive review from us here at Pure PSVR, where we reviewed the game using the Oculus Quest and Oculus Link feature.
While our review for the game was stellar, we can’t speak for the PSVR port just yet as we’ve not yet been able to test the game. We are, however, working on getting a copy to review, and we’ll let you know our thoughts on the PSVR version of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners as soon as we can.
The big questions we have are related mainly to the controls. We already know the PSVR can output some impressive visuals, but how will the game’s controls translate to the PS Move controllers? It’ll be interesting to see how the game holds up on Sony’s console and accompanying headset, that’s for sure.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is available now on PCVR and PSVR, with the Oculus Quest version planned to release later this year. Who knows. Maybe the Quest will get a surprise release soon too! One can hope…
