2019 is gone, 2020 is here! And this is actually our first post of the new year, too, as we’ve taken a bit of time away from our desks to have some much-needed fun – and in my case – some much-needed rest.

Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

Chris Harding

I’ve been struck down with all of the illnesses since before Christmas, but today I woke up for the first time since last year (haw-haw) not feeling like cutting my own head off and kicking it up a hill. Don’t ask me how that would work, just know that I’d find a way.

With my new health in tow, I’ll be jumping back into as many virtual worlds as possible. Pavlov: Shack is out on SideQuest, so I’ll definitely be giving that a go with my colleague Jez. I fear it may be a bit too fast-paced for us old-timers, though, and if that’s the case, we’ll probably jump ship over to Onward VR; it’s a much slower-paced game with a focus on tactics and accuracy instead of spraying and praying.

I’m a little behind on my reviews, too, so I’ll be spending some time at my desk cranking out whatever I’ve got on the backburner.

Jeremy Peterson

I have been gearing up for the NFL Playoffs by playing 2MD VR Football Unleashed on the Oculus Quest for the last week and it is great. I highly recommend it. But the release of Pavlov Shack via Sideload has been a lot of fun and has made me want to get the band back together for the realistic military shooter action of Onward. Now that my Pure PSVR colleague Chris has managed to climb out of his deathbed, we’ll hopefully be able to get our shooter on!
