Well, folks, Christmas is over and I hope you got something VR game related from the fat man. If so, it’s Friday night and what better time to strap on your headset of choice and enter some crazy alternate reality. That’s right, the workweek is over, school is still out for the holiday and it’s time to tell us what you’re playing this weekend. Don’t be shy. That’s okay, Chris and I will go first.
Chris has been sick and refused to put a headset on his face so we haven’t been able to help our comrades-in-arms on Onward VR for over a week. This makes me very sad, but hopefully, that changes soon. If the war is still raging, I suspect we’ll make time to toss some lead around.
I’ve recently finished the Path of the Warrior and am currently writing the review. It’s pretty cool, but I probably won’t be jumping back in this weekend, but I’m definitely excited for the coop campaign that is allegedly coming soon. In the meantime, I’m playing Radial G: Proteus and hope to have the review in the next day or two. Speaking of reviews, I’ve spent a good portion of the last two days playing 2MD VR Football Unleashed on the Quest, and it is everything I hoped it would be. I fell in love with the game on the PSVR, but having a wireless 360-degree experience is this wannabe football player’s dream. I know I’m getting into the weeds for those of you who don’t know or care about American Football, but the ability to take the snap from center, turn your back to the field and actually run a play-action pass is so cool. I know playing outside is dangerous for both me and my headset, but it’s worth it. I mean, I’m taking precautions for the headset, but I’ll probably break my ankle. So far, it’s been totally worth it.
I’ve killed off the virus that threatened to kill my Christmas, so I’m back in the game! I’m playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and not enjoying it very much. It just makes me want to stick my Quest on my head and play the Vader Immortal games in VR. I’m planning on finishing Espire 1: VR Operative this weekend, providing I can get the time to myself. If I can get set up with no hassle in the house, I’ll be playing Onward VR and Cessna VR, too. There’s something very relaxing about flying a plane in VR.
