If you were hoping to spend the Christmas holidays shooting fools in the face with Pavlov VR on Oculus Quest, you still can, but it won’t be as simple as initially planned.
Writing on the official Pavlov VR Discord channel, the game’s developer, DaveVillz, has announced that Pavlov VR (known as Pavlov Lite) will not release on December 19th as previously planned.
The developer explained that due to the game’s party and friend support simply doesn’t work properly on Android, and so it will take more time to rework the feature. It was also announced that the game will be called ‘Pavlov: Shack’ on Oculus Quest, instead of Pavlov Lite.
There is some good news, however. The developer stated that Pavlov: Shack will be available on December 19th on Oculus Quest, though it’ll be via side loading. That means that while it won’t be available on the Oculus store, it will be available to download for free and can be installed using the popular homebrew SideQuest application on PC.
The full release of Pavlov: Shack is due in early 2020, though there’s no concrete release date or even release month at this time. We’ll be keeping an eye out for updates, so check in with us to keep up with the latest.
