We finally got a release date for the ambitious and awesome looking physics heavy action game Boneworks by way of the trailer above. Coming from developer Stress Level Zero, Boneworks will be available on all PC headsets including the Vive, Index, Rift, and WMR December 10. As you can see in the six-plus minute-long trailer, Boneworks has the potential to be something special.
I’ve seen some decent physics-based action in VR before, but none of it compares to what I’m seeing in this latest trailer. All that grappling, climbing, grabbing, and shooting is almost too much goodness for me to handle. Of course, we’ll have to see if the game holds up to all of its technical bells and whistles, but the sky is the limit.
It’s not all good news, however. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Brandon Laatsch, of Stress Level Zero, said the Quest version of the game, which he called Project 4, won’t reemerge until sometime next year. I’ll be very interested to see how much of this ambitious title will translate to the Oculus Quest. In the meantime, December 10 can’t get here fast enough.
